About my progress on stolen goods.

I am working with law enforcement, but it is challenging when it was a theft from a vehicle and no physical injury; the security camera view was blocked by a tall van they used so nothing or no one could be clearly seen; and the case is now a year old and we're talking Portland Oregon where they are way too busy all the time to want to do much of anything for anyone. At least that's been my experiences so far.

As for the individual who sold this, he lives in a different town and doesn't look like the fellow who sold my FORS CoRe last February.

This e-bay seller might have acquired the Tesoro as a gift, from a pawn shop, at a yard sale, who knows? I do have his information and I will be personally following up on a trip into the Portland area before the month is out.

Another indication this seems to not be from an uncaring thief, and Kickindirt can confirm this, is that the detector was taken apart and very carefully packed in a box it fitted in well, and nicely bubble-wrapped and taken care of. I have received several detectors in the past month, to include one in a factory box, and none of them have been packed as safe-and-secure as was my Tesoro.

So while some indications tend to not suggest this individual was involved I the crime or knew anything about it, he might still have some worthwhile information about where it came from. Could be a pawn shop that doesn't follow the rules and check with law enforcement reports about some of the things that come into their shop, and if so, I might track down a few sources to try and recover other things that were stolen.

For right now, however, I am a very pleased individual to have two of my favorite three-out-of-five stolen detectors back in my hands. Going detecting tomorrow just to enjoy it.
