1.. Having the opportunity to get out detecting when so many of us are 'winter-bound' due to cold weather behavior.

2.. Enjoying some success working one of my favorite urban picks, the parking strips and other easements.

3.. Using a very proven set-up of a good, functional Tesoro with a smaller-size concentric search coil.

Glad to hear you added the 6" Concentric to your detector outfit.thumbs up While a smaller coil equipped 'modern' detector with visual Target ID can also make a good choice for similar Coin Hunting, they are not always necessary, and many don't provide the pick-through ability of a Tesoro in often trashy confined areas.

For decades I'd grab a 6" or 7" Concentric coil outfitted Tesoro to work just those types of areas in bigger-size cities where there are a lot of available 'strips', and I'd single out the older neighborhoods and patiently work them.

It looks like you might still have a week or warmer weather days before colder conditions return, so if you can make it out again, best of success to you. Was this in the 'local' town or did you travel to a bigger city?
