Coin Shooting - Elusive Coins / Elusive Mint Marks

I was looking through some of the 'lists' of hoped for finds many of us are still searching for..

I have several coins myself that seem to have eluded me though I am now in my 5th decade (70's, 80's, 90's, 2000's, 2010) and getting close to my 6th) Dang, getting old.

Coins like a Seated Quarter, Barber Half, Half-Dime, a Carson City minted coin of any type, and I'd like to find a gold coin with my detector. I found a $10 gold piece sifting in an old ghost town with a friend, but I'd really like to find one with my detector. I'd also like to find a Spanish real, but that's a different list than this one. Foreign coins. . .

I got looking at what years our mints were operating, cranking out coins.

Philadelphia - 1792 to current
New Orleans - 1838 - 1861, 1879-1893
San Francisco - 1869 to current
Carson City - 1870 to 1893
Denver - 1897 to current

Taking a closer look at the output from Carson City, I noticed there were some pretty good coins on that list.

Silver denominations

Seated Liberty dime (1871–1878)
Twenty-cent piece (1875–76)
Seated Liberty quarter (1870–1878)
Seated Liberty half dollar (1870–1878)
Seated Liberty dollar (1870–1873)
Trade dollar (1873–1885)
Morgan dollar (1878–1893)
Note: A Seated Liberty dollar was the first coin to be struck at Carson City.

Gold denominations

Half eagle or $5.00 gold (1870–1884 and 1890–1893)
Eagle or $10.00 gold (1870–1884 and 1890–1893)
Double eagle or $20.00 gold (1870–1885 and 1889–1893)

Looks like I have a smaller window that I thought for the CC coins. Maybe I can double up and find a Gold Coin minted in Carson City. Now there's an idea. . . . thumbs up Headed out tomorrow for a little coin shooting. Keeping the fingers crossed.
