I did not get up a lot, except to move around the meter posts. My knee pads saw good use. The grass strip is about five feet wide, then trees and mulch. The meters are mounted in cement next to the curb. I found a lot of coins against the curb and one of the quarters was flat against the cement post of one meter and about 3-4 inches down, so close to the metal post that I don't think you would find it with even a small coil. I found it because I dug zinc next to it, and found it with the pinpointer. Zinc everywhere. Time went fast because there were so many targets, even though a lot of them were corroded crap.
