Yeah---I hear yah Monte---"how I long for those good old days" to.----There's probably a few oldie (coins) hangin out here in our beautiful park---and I KNOW there's a few of us "oldies" hangin around here in Baker.

-----Man---I can remember when I had no problem finding Barbers, Indians, Mercs & Rosies in that park (I personally never did find a S.L. in that park)--but that didn't mean they weren't there.-----Now days if you find a few clad (and a wheat back if you had a good day).------That park is so visible to the MANY people coming through Baker and everybody & his brother hunts it.----The caretaker of the park told me awhile ago that he was sick & tired of seeing holes left in the grass by the people using detectors there.----I told him it wasn't myself or Patsy that was doing it.---That's one of the big reasons that's getting these parks closed to detecting though.--------Del

Ohhh, Patsy & I already got all the coins from under those shady trees down there Monte!
Maybe you made an effort around the trees, few in number now, here in Vale or nearby Ontario or Nyssa, that's why this afternoon when I'm done with company I'm probably going to jump across the border into Idaho and see if I can find any Shady spots that are productive.
I remember back in '74 when my older brother lived here and I'd come over to visit, the city park had a lot of trees and was almost as nice, although smaller in size, than that big and beautiful city park you have there in Baker City. I know there are still a few oldies hanging out there where you live, referring to Old Coins not old people, but through the last 5 decades that City Park has been one of the most detected parks I've ever seen. By both locals and tourists.
Oh how I long for those good old days.
