Re: Corrosion - rotten can't be fun.

I don't love digging pull tabs, stay tabs, crown caps, or screw caps but zinc cents truly annoy me and I go out of my way to not dig them. That has probably has cost me a gold find along the way. If I think there might be some masking of other targets, I clean them out, kinda like picking up dog crap so you don't step in it. The annoying part is probably because I can't understand the creation of such a rotten to the core worthless object. The zincs that I do dig, I try hard to put back in circulation... tumbled and cleaned so they can pass in change or go into change counters which will accept them. I am trying to think of a project to display as art, some of the most pathetic of the corrosion examples. Maybe set them in liquid table top finish with a sarcastic title touting the fine produce of the mint.

Now that I'm thinking about it, maybe it would be an improvement if they were made of dog crap. At least they could be used as fertilizer. grinning smiley
