In between shopping around and two trips into Abilene, I had a brief session Coin Hunting that started with a Penny and ended with a Penny, and too many more mixed in with the few Nickels, Dimes and a few Quarters. Only counted out 52 coins using the Apex w/'Ripper' DD coil. Forgot my knee pad and Lesche Digger and couldn't toe-scuff into the packed material for several so I'll return later today.
I have to take Rikki into the groomers and will try and hit a place while their getting her clean and trim her nails. Haven't worked any of the parks in that area of Abilene so I'm not sure how productive they might be. If it's clean then somebody's getting out there from time-to-time. If weather doesn't halt me I plan to work a permission in the County Seat on Thursday after inspections are done at about noon. It's a smaller area and I believe it has been worked some in the past, but we never know until we try.
I'm also hoping to meet a property owner on Friday, but that might get rain and thunder-stormed out and put it off a week. Not sure what that site is but he has an interest in metal detecting and I have a loaner-unit so that worked out to gain access to ???? I sure miss the days when we had more people reading newspapers and those small local ares ad papers as I used to use those to get a lot of contact and hunting access. More frustrations with so much on-line internet stuff.
I hope others can get out. We had a 70° mostly sunny day yesterday, and it's only supposed to hit 55° and be cloudy today, plus winds came up at 13 and gusting to 23 mph so far. Oh well, we have to take what we get, and I sure miss living in more populated areas where 100+ coin-days were rather common. I'll keep my fingers crossed to find such a place around here.
