Monte don't give up yet. Haven't been posting much as I have between gardening and metal detecting been to busy. Vegetable crop is about all planted and so will be able to consentrate on metal detecting. With 5 new permissions and two new ghost towns I found in research dating back to the 1870's. With two rural schools two do and a old picnic grove/ convention site for civil war reunions. I found these in the smallest county in Iowa. So much has been passed by for so many the Covid lockdown was a burden for me it was a gold mine of new places to metal detect. Several of these places fell in to the hands of my old high school classmates. Permission was a no problem and the price of one permission was finding the survey stakes which lead me to two more find the pins projects.
New area new set of local history to discover. New more productive sites will turn up and in the process you get to meet some interesting people some who might become friends. When one door closes another opens. Keep the faith brother.
All the Best
