cleaning out surface trash that masks any nearby or deeper good targets. And believe me, the areas I'm hunting that are closer to the house and backyard or garage area have an overabundance of bottle caps and other junk associated with installation of metal siding, and other repair work over time.
I'm going to take a break from the Trashy areas the next few days and work the larger open yard to the South with my 8.5X11 equipped Apex and hope there's something out there that's desirable. I have noticed
that quite a bit of ground at this place has build up of both grass clippings and leaf dropage along with some dirt or sand that has been brought in at some point.
Unless this place got detected back in the 70s or 80s, then there has to be something good out there to be found. It's the amount of bottle caps that have been discarded that are the biggest challenge in the trash year areas.
