It was almost 6:30 this evening, clear blue sky, 81° and a 13 mph wind out of the SSW. Breezy, but a very nice warm wind. Slowly on he mend and trying to 'graduate' back to using a cane. From having a sidewalk put in here, there is a lot of dug dirt, down to about 6", that is spread out in front by the sidewalk, and a lot moved out to the roof of my storm shelter and more out by the road near my driveway to fill in an area. I'll work the last bit of it tomorrow, if I am up to it, but it sure felt good to get in a good 20-25 minutes of hunting.
I used my Fisher F75+, DE mode, Disc. at '7', sensitivity at '95', and Tone ID at '3'. The GB at turn-on was at the shut-down saved '55'. I had the small elliptical 6½" Concentric on the far end of the rod. That's likely to be the primary-use coil I will keep on the F75+ for the places I will usually grab it to hunt.
Finds? Minimal but I ignored some of the 'iffy' signals or likely bottle caps because my balance still isn't great to stoop and bend and recover targets well. Only found several dimes and fewer pennies. No silver, but I am holding out hope for tomorrow's search. It will be windier at about 15 to 18 mph, but still mostly sunny with a high of about 79°.
I hope the rest of you can get out, or at least by this weekend, and best of success to you.
