Thought you always raved about the T2 and knocked the F75!-----You bailed out of the Vanquish??----Poor ole Oregon Gregg purchased that machine because of your (at the time) good report on it.

I had 3 V-540 Pro Packs and kind of liked them, except:
1.. No GB ability.
2.. All 3 factory default modes are useless if you try to use the 'Horseshoe' function for All Metal Accept because in all of the different ground I hunted, the fixed GB is either too-
Positive or too-negatove and that results in falsing, especially of sweeping over ineven ground with rocks, bumps, humps, furrows, dips, etc.
3.. I found the red backlight to not be bright enought most of the time I night-hunted.
4.. Battery Life is terrible.
5.. In side-by-side comparisons it fell short on performance i my Nail Board. The Si
Plex + w/5X9.5 DD, and Apex w/5X8 DD both hit 7-out-8 and the V-540 w/ 5X8 DD only got 5 or 6 OK hits
6.. Hunting some typical Coin producing areas at a few parks with Coin Spills with a few clusters of 3 to 5 coins, making contact, resulted in a terrible audio and visual. I found that the result was basically a non dig-worthy report, while the Simplex and Apex performed properly. Zincoln ran into the same issue and posted a photo of the on-ground coin spill.
In general I kind of like it, but not to keep around for where I hunt and with the detectors I have.
