In the past I've noticed that putting in the proper time on a detector+coil combination really makes a difference. Getting two new combos and trying to get familiar with them in 2 months -- I'd likely just to end up with half-a__ knowledge of each.

I agree 100%, That to me is a bigger advantage to finding stuff than jumping machines every other month chasing that magic unicorn. It is why I stick to my CoRe as I have so many hours on it. On a day to day, there will be days I get my butt kicked by other machines and on the flip side, I will give a butt-kicking. But on an overall yearly average, I feel I have never been outdone by any other machines on the market.
Although I do have a Legend arriving Tues ( after much arm twisting to the point of producing tears, by Kickndirt) I ordered one. So it will be interesting to see if it will have some of the DNA of the older Nokta/Makro machines. I don't see SMF of being any advantage out in the iron and rusted tin and will most likely set it up single freq ( 15khz) But I am interested in some of the functions that I can adjust that aren't possible on my current machines.
So I guess the betting can start to how many days OregonGregg keeps the Legend before tossing it in the trash bin/Ebay lol
But ya never know, I might just like it..............................
