I've found a used 6" concentric for my Tesoro Vaquero -- should arrive next week (fingers crossed). If that works in testing (including in the field) I likely won't get another detector before the WTHO.
Glad to hear you found the 6" Concentric. I have owned two of the newer 'black' Vaqueros and had a difficult time finding a 6" for the first one. It worked close to the 6" on my Bandido II microMAX, but I didn't like the audio and sent the Vaquero in for the High-Tone mod.
Then after spending about a week using those two models for side-by-side comparisons I parted with the Vaquero. The main reason was due to the noticeably heavier 6" Vaquero coil. Jusy not as comfortable as my two favored Tesoro models.

In the past I've noticed that putting in the proper time on a detector+coil combination really makes a difference. Getting two new combos and trying to get familiar with them in 2 months -- I'd likely just to end up with half-a__ knowledge of each.
But if the Tesoro path doesn't work out for whatever reason I'll keep you in mind.
Good point. Some of us need a little more time with some models to get to know them well. Especially when we will be taking on an Iron-challenged location!
Put in the time and see if you get comfortable with it.. if so, that's good, and if not there is still time to be ready. Hoping good spring weather is coming your way, too.
