FWIW----I used to talk to Ty Brooks quite a bit several years ago.----If I remember right he said he was digging 65% good targets (coins) versus 35% bad (in the enhanced mode).------Myself---I never "clicked" with the 3D & I had two or three of them.------I guess I got spoiled by my Explorers---they ate it for lunch (IMO).

I never understood that statement as hunt plenty of newer areas and do not dig anymore trash in enhanced than salt mode. Just like the whole iron loving thing newbees buy them over on his forum dig a few nails and sell them a week later. It takes time to learn not to dig them. They think because it a analog there is no learning curve but there is like anything other unit. I have owned a Etrac since they first came out and it will hit on small deep nails at times too, But if you want deep coins you have to dig them no magic unit out there unless you want to leave keepers in the ground.
