A better description?

Sorry to disappoint. I didn’t come up with the laws of physics.

I do agree there is often a narrow window on the very deepest targets where I can get audio response and a good target ID number.
The best description I’ve read is if you took a beach ball a couple inches bigger than the width of your coil and squished it up against the coil. There is still a round bottom to the signal, like the ball, and if we could see the electromagnetic field the bottom center of the ball would be the deepest range for a target. But it isn’t anything like a cone.

And let’s not forget the impact of working between other targets, and where we have flat targets like coins laying at an angle to the surface.

Knock’em dead.

Rich

Just one more good target before I go.
