I verified that my cell phone interferes with my 800 one day after recovering a deep keeper. I propped the coin up on the bottom of the grass plug i had flipped over during the recovery and got out my iPhone for a pic to send to the guys. I always keep it turned off when i'm hunting. I was hunting with my sensitivity near max. Once the phone rebooted, my 800 started chattering loudly with EMI. I took the pics and messaged them off to the guys and turned the phone off again. Voila, EMI gone. For me, I hunt with my cell phone turned off.

It's the OregonGregg method of simply loosing your cell phone. In the sagebrush wilds of Toano or the old outdoor privy in Rippville.
Of course turning it Off or leaving it in the vehicle might be better.
