Congrats on being able to get out, Matt.

Thursday night to Friday morning we got a fresh 3" of snow, just when we were starting to see quite a few exposed grass and dirt areas around. sad smiley It did warm up yesterday, and now, at 12:30 Saturday morning it has dropped to 24° but some warming is on the way. Unfortunately, the warming stormy weather will likely bring us a few days of rain from Sunday thru the week. Most likely get rid of the snow, but leave us with mucky dirt for a while.

I am going to give this area and nearby ghost town and homestead sites a chance to improve as spring weather is nearing, and meanwhile I plan to get away for a week or two to parts that are warmer and drier. I'll have my Makro Gold Racer and Nokta FORS Gold+ along so I'll be heading to some gold nugget potential country, and I'll work them a bit in some Relic Hunting sites as well, along with my Nokta FORS CoRe and Tesoro Bandido II. Just keeping a watch on the weather to see if my travel will be more into California or Arizona, and your rainy weather is pushing me more toward the latter.

Most of the older places I hunt are immune from localized electrical/electronic EMI sources, and I hope you can find a few that are less annoying. Best of success in this new year.
