The new Nokta Impact.

Just announced for dealers to take orders and they should have the unit finalized and into production soon.

They are still making some changes that 'testers' are downloading to update their software as they finalize it. Once done, and once the User Manual is completed, it will be out. It is an excellent multi-purpose, selectable 3-frequency detector that has been providing exceptional performance and has some new search modes added.

It is a versatile detector, but it isn't one for everybody. In my opinion, it is a bit more detector than most 'average' or 'typical' detector users can easily understand or grasp, especially since most don't get out detecting often enough to really use all what it offers and learn it well. For a more 'active' detector user willing to learn it well and put what it offers to work afield, it is truly a top-end, all-purpose detector.

There is already some discussion about the Impact on a few forums, especially Tom Dankowski's, which he got started and it seems to have drawn a lot of posts from those who have test units to evaluate and questions from the general detecting body. I have held off making an evaluation post of the Impact until I know that all changes have been downloaded and I have finished final testing. Then I'll post my review.
