Amazing that all those zincs got through the counter. Here they get corroded pretty fast when in the ground. There is salt used everywhere on roads and sidewalks and that takes a toll very quickly. Congrats on your stash of cash .. You could start saving it for a new detector, or some classy custom paint like Monte has
Last time I tumbled my cents, including zincs, I discovered that the sooner they go into a counter or any change machine, the more will go through without being rejected. The corrosion bumps quickly start to return if they sit around very long, and I had a small pile of them which looked mostly clean and now have turned bumpy again. I'll tumble them again along with then next batch and send them quickly away to those who created such coinage for us.
