Knock Knock . . . . . . Who's There?

January 30, 2019 08:47PM
knocking on doors takes "courage" and determination. it's called "risk versus reward!"..the "only" way (for me) to do it is "set aside" a certain amount of time THAT I DON'T CARE ABOUT,and try to convince others to let me detect their property. this way if you get 'rejected" you won't feel so bad because you set aside that time to do that one particular action...the french have a name for it.they call it an "event phycological".in other words, you have "resigned" yourself to 'spend" a certain amount of time doing this. in
essence,"writing off the necessary time it requires to do it."

Door knocking does take a little extra courage. but it is certainly worth the additional effort.

I've been doing the door knocking thing since 1985. I've met a lot of wonderful and interesting people over the years and learned a lot of local history from talking to folks. Meeting people from all walks of life and hearing their stories had added richly to an already fascinating hobby.

Finding what works on accessing private property.

I agree 100% Rich, and knocking usually had better results than letter writing. N/T

There are times . . . . .

"There are times ..." is very true, and I use three methods to gain permission.
