Made it in the 1800's club for the year.........

Met up with Monte today. Headed out to Ripville for a bit. Today I used the Racer 2 w/10.5"x5.5" enclosed coil & Monte used his Relic w/5" coil.

Monte ended up with a maverick 5 cent token and I snagged another Mills Novelty 5 cent token that someone squared the center hole.

Right at the last, it was just starting to rain and I snagged an 1899 IH penny and that was the end of our detecting.

As we got back to Vale the weather was a little nicer, no rain, so we decided to head to Nyssa and detect a permission I got a few days ago. It is supposedly the old site of the original school and now has an old two-story house on the lot. It is a big lot and you could see that the dirt that is now yard etc is built up as if they hauled some in the past. The other half of the lot is a bit lower ( which ended up producing the better stuff)

Monte stayed in the lower area and I worked around closer to the old house. I only found 7 modern pennies and a 1953 license tag.

Monte ended up with some modern coins and a 1942 Wheat cent plus a Chinese cash coin and a little league pin (50 yrs 1939-1989)

As always was fun to get out. I used my Racer 2 again at the other site and I believe Monte was using his Teknetics Omega 8000 w/7" coil
