Rich,
I was curious how your Forester would handle your recent journey to visit
'Switchback' were some of the last bit of travel presented some deep ruts going down, and up, that hillside. It apparently did fine. It has a little better ground clearance than I thought, although my GMC Envoy sits a little higher. I didn't know it lacked any skid plates on the undercarriage. Did you bottom out anywhere?
Since your recent visit we have left the very hot summers behind and welcomed in fall weather. Cooler and comfortable, but we have had a lot of rain here, and even more up in the higher country. Quite a bit, actually, and I wonder how your AWD would handle those once dry dirt and rock grades now that they are well wetted down, especially some of those ruts. What do you think?
