Monte-----I didn't know you had an Equinox 800.----You are really coming over to the "dark side"! (now having both the Vanquish & Equinox)------Do you feel at some point these has a chance at replacing your CoRe & Relic?--------Del

Wednesday is going to be too windy to deal with the dusty ghost town. NOAA forecast:► "Breezy, with a north northwest wind 9 to 14 mph increasing to 16 to 21 mph in the afternoon."

However, Friday & Saturday look better:

According to NOAA:
Friday
Sunny, with a high near 65.

Saturday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 71.

But Accu-Weather has us at 72° and 74° down here at home. Up at 'Lone Tree' and 'Lonesome Arch' it will be 59° and 64° ... but the sunny skies will help it feel a lot better.

What will Monte be using? Well, I can tell you that I will have these loaded up:

Minelab Equinox 800 w/6" DD coil
Minelab Vanquish 540 w/5'X8 DD
Nokta FORS CoRe w/'OOR' DD
Nokta FORS Relic w/5" DD
Tesoro Bandido II µMAX w/6" Concentric

NOTE: Only listed in alphabetical order, not in the order of preference for the Iron Debris old townsites.

Yes, I will be mainly using, or at least starting out with, the Equinox 800 w/6" coil because I want to evaluate the adjustment settings I plan to use and keep loaded in my Park 1 & 2 and Filed 1 & 2 programs. I need to check the performance and make a few adjustments here or there after in-the-field evaluation. There are several things I do like about th EQ-800, that are a complement to what the Vanquish 540 provides, but at the same time I have been finding some design differences in performance that tend to favor the V-540's capabilities.

I'll probably also do a little more hunt-time with the V-540 to confirm my choice for Custom program selection. One I am satisfied with settings I'll then most probably use the FORS CoRe or Relic in the densest Iron trash conditions.
