over time have become convinced the 600,or the 800 eq is the go to detector for trashed parks.i am curious as to how the apex will perform in 'cooked" parks too! want to see more on the apex, before i make a decision. excellent "rescues!"
sweet barber! have to admit, not too enamored over the eq's build quality. getting reports now, that some of them are "leaking!"
(h.h.!)

My 800 has earned its way as my 'go-to' detector for coin hunting parks. While I have the EQ06 coil, I prefer using the EQ11 coil for parks. If I find a particularly productive area, I can swap out coils or grab the Deus and an x35 coil to give my search a different perspective as I try to pick an area clean of good targets.
As for quality issues, the search rod on my 800 was wobbly. I contacted Minelab customer service and it was quickly replaced. Flooded control units? There are some out there. A common factor for many of these seems to be with the control housing underwater for long periods of time. This isn't my normal hunt, BUT, I'm toying with the idea of acquiring of diving detector for expanding the depths of my water hunting.
