Another excellent test for 2D and 3D separation .... Andrew ...
I looked at this test several times .. Although not all detectors had the same coils ... it can be deduced that some detectors have a strong predisposition to better unmasking in iron ...
2D separation is strongly assisted by coils smaller than 8-9 "....
3D separation is assisted by coils from 8-9 "and more ......
of course the detector must also have a certain 3D predisposition ... some detectors do not have it ... even though you have an 11 "coil on them.
Therefore, a very well made detector can achieve excellent results on the 8-9 "coil in 2 D and 3D separation - without a strong limitation of the detection depth..in the field.
and why can a larger coil have a better 3D separation? .... explains the picture of Mr. green-graph no. 2
higher frequency> 10 khz ... also strongly helps better separation .. especially on low conductive targets ..
"Blended Audio" ...- the sound-iron passes very smoothly into a ton of non-ferrous metal without interruption..if the coil is above such a goal ...- while there are also different shades of this sound ..- depending on the speed and direction of movement of the coil in a heavily polluted environment ....
If the Detector has such a sound, I consider it an advantage ... and usually it is necessary to sweep the coil at a reduced speed .... so that such properties of the detector stand out ..
Andrew ... in any case, this is not only an excellent test ... but also questions about different types of separation - in this test they are very well placed ...
