Ya know Roger, ya might have to do what I did and just give in to the forces of the universe ie: either get a Monte or Zincoln approved detecting gear. No sense in fighting the forces that be out there. Sadly the Deus is not on either of the approval lists, so kick that thing to ebay. You might want to consider an F5 that seems to rate high on the test list or get a V3i /MXT/M6 with a 7" detech coil.

If you happen to do both, just be aware that you need to store the "Monte approved" stuff separate from the "Zincoln approved" stuff. It's kinda like a matter & anti-matter thing, they touch and half your house could be reduced to rubble......so be careful
