Roger - thx again for the invite. We gave it a good 'ol try. Didn't come away empty, if not as target rich as we'd hoped. Great day out there, super company, and we got our exercise in clearing a lot for the owner:-)
I was able to manage a single 1913d wheat. I had initially worked the area that Roger found the IHCs, but i blew through too quickly and he came out w/ the goods! Glad you found them and made the drive worthwhile!
Seems all of the coins likely had gone through the fire, as they had that bubbled or damaged appearance. May have been stuck in the floorboards or under the church when it burnt as one side seems to be the worst.
....and yes, those open desert spaces are certainly much easier to work. I know i enjoy it when i don't have to fight the brush so much!
