As a lot of folks know, I like to name towns or locations or areas of tows so as not to disclose huntable information to strangers. Part of that was the naming of TIN Hill.
I guess we could add the periods and call it T.I.N. Hill, but TIN Hill will do. Are there a lot of iron nails and a good amount of rusty tin and shards of rusty tin? Yes indeed! But I dubbed the name
TIN Hill because we used to find a lot of
Tokens,
Indian Heads and 'V'
Nickels there, outnumbering the other denominations of coins. Those Barber Dimes do, however, show there face from time-to-time.
It can be a challenge to hunt TIN Hill due to the amount of dense brush, building rubble in areas, and an over-supply of rusty tin. Smaller coils and working those sites slowly and methodically is what pays off for us, and Gregg used some of the best equipment and well-learned techniques.
