Well sure looks like silver. Could be a fake ha ha. Well what did ya think of the vanquish? Did ya put to the test in the busted tin/iron? Sounds like ya put it away pretty fast lol.
Vanquish is a nice machine. If it can see a non-ferrous target it locks on hard. I used the 440 for about 3 hrs with the 5x8 coil. Certainly gonna need more hours on the machine to learn its nuances etc. It did wanna false on a few nails I encountered and Iron ( but so do a lot of machines.)
I did notice that it's pretty sensitive to smaller targets and it gets good depth. I was digging really small targets at the 5-6" range and it hit them no problem.
I don't think it will be my go-to-busted tin/iron fighting machine. But will work really well for working the more fringe areas of these old sites and it is an easy machine to swing.
But like I said, with only a few hours on the machine I can't really say one way or another if it's a keeper or not. Though my first impressions are I like the machine and will have places I think I would use it a lot.
As matter of fact, I texted Zincoln and told him to text me his address. I'm going to ship him the 540 w/9x12 coil as I really think the Vanquish will shine even more in the enviroments he has over on his side of the State. I know he has a site that some coins are deep due to some fill dirt etc. Will be curious how the Vanquish will do.
Plus he prob will give a more insighful review over what I can do. Generally my reviews are "damn things no good" or "Yep, she's a keeper" and thats it.
