As I continue to trim my Detector Outfit ----

March 15, 2021 02:02PM avatar
I have had to take a serious look at what I can and can't get out and do anymore due to my declining health. Physical frustrations are things I tried to allow for, but reality hits and changes are made.

UH OH, UH OH------What happened to the Fors CoRe???-----I thought he was one of the co-stars (or at least nominated best supporting actors)! grinning smiley

Six years ago this past January, the Nokta FORS CoRe took over and held the number one spot, or shared it with the FORS Relic, for my primary-use in the nastiest of iron littered old sites. It bumped a lot of detectors out of my Outfit then simply due to the fact that the performance afield was exceptional. Guess what ... the performance is still exceptional and it will continue to be. I sold my back-up CoRe to a fellow who had one, parted with it and then missed it a lot and needed a replacement. OregonGregg, as most are aware, relies heavily on his primary-pick detector, the FORS CoRe, and has a long-life supply as back-ups. If it works, and works well, it will now and will in the future.

As for me, my detecting days are getting numbered due to my health and more mobility issues, and lighter-weight is better, and working smoother, level ground is almost a must these days. Taking on the odd-sloped, dense-brush and rough-texture terrain I've enjoyed hunting for decades is now mainly a thing-of-the-past. Most urban Coin Hunting is the direction I need to head, and I have held onto the FORS Relic w/5" DD for those rare times I am going to try and work in little time at a tough site. So, my wonderful FORS CoRe found a new home and will continue to serve well as the new owner gets more and more into this great sport, and especially when taking on more iron-contaminated and challenging debris-filled sites.
