Well, lighting struck twice! Those could have been in the pockets of Joseph Meek for all we know. They clearly made their way here with the earliest settlers when Spanish coinage was still circulating. Makes you wonder what else might lie out in that field...and why you'd found as much as you have. Can only imagine there was a lot of harvesting there once upon a time where money changed hands....or possibly a trading location.
Have never seen anyone else post Spanish in OR/WA/ID.....though a few in CA on the old Spanish trail.
