We've chatted about the Xterras offline before and yes there are many machines that deliver better performance. The whole change your coil to change your frequency gimmick got pricey and a lot of us bought em all searching for that perfect set up.

I will say that my #1 favorite coin dig came compliments of the X70 in iron hell. We were hunting an old blacksmiths shop/ homesite and I got my first and only seated half next to a decent size rusty bolt.

Hunting in all metal with the now outdated Xterras with the sens as high as possible you could hear the "jump off" from the iron grunt to the nonferrous chirp of a good target. As you pointed out, sweep speed and processor speed had a lot to do with one another.

Maybe it's sentimental but I keep the old 70 around as a backup.
