There was a total of 13 who made it to the Outing, and from what I can gather the main factor that had some not make the event was the high gasoline costs. With some it was work commitment, a few were hoping for a new and different group of towns to search, but overall it was the fuel costs that had many stay home.
For those who were able to get out detecting, as always, it was simply a matter of working the coil over a potentially good target and making the recovery. Dealing with any heavy brush and a fair abundance of ferrous debris in most places added to the chore of finding any keepers, but good targets were found. Some lucked onto older coins, but the interesting artifacts and trade tokens also helped to spur a lot of folks on to try and find more.
Looking forward to comments by attendees as well as any photos and descriptions of their finds.

PS: For many reader's interest, please mention the detector model and search coil used. Thanks!
