Like most of the older sites left around for us to hunt, a lot of them had the easier-to-find keepers thinned out through the years ... but they certainly are not all gone. It just takes a bit of time and patience, using a good detector, coil and settings for the environment, then working in a slow and methodical manner and we can unmask the goodies that are left.
And as long as OregonGregg with a Nokta CoRe and
'OOR' coil show us, there are going to be a few less for future visits. While I especially like to find Trade Tokens and Older Coins, there are a lot of neat Artifacts that are also found that are equally satisfying and encourage me to
keep-on-looking! Your button find is one of those that make it a non-skunked day.
Your photos added a lot of interest as well, and I was sure glad to see both Boomer and Lola who also kept you company.
Again, thanks for making another great outing, putting out the effort, and you got to go home with another proven 'keeper' for your dedicated detector battery, too!
