Very unusual and I've never found one.

I enjoy finding the 'uniqueries' and, like OregonGregg mentioned, I have found somewhat similar tongs for snatching candy. But when I saw the sliding retainer piece on your find to help secure the 'grip' on a skirt or ???, that eliminated it from being a candy tong.

Congratulations non a nice find.

Always curious about a detector used, general search mode or settings, and coil used.

I hope you can get back there again and uncover something else of interest. It would be great if you could join some of us a week from today when we are hunting ghost towns out of Wells, Nevada, the 3rd thru the 11th, on our 15th Welcome-to-Hunt Outing. Plenty of neat old stuff hidden in them as well.
