Of course a detector can shine brighter for some people than it might for others. For
me the Nokta CoRe "out-shined" a number of other detectors that I knew very well and many of those I quickly parted with. Naturally one good reasons is I was spending the bulk of my time in places with challenges like Toano. For urban Coin & Jewelry Hunting they can work but most of us would have other preferences.
For 'Toano-trash' types of places I have enjoyed good success with the FORS CoRe, FORS Relic, Racer & Racer 2, Bandido II microMAX, and there are a others that come very close to that performance I have or had used.
The keys to success, of course, you pointed out and Gregg does very well with the CoRe because he uses it often and for ample time. He knows it well, and we can not forget that it is most often outfitted with that small 4.7X5.2 'OOR' DD coil. The CoRe & 'OOR' make a deadly combination in those tough Iron debris sites.
Congrats, again, on your Outing success to even include the other 'V' you found with the Equinox. A model
you know well.
Take care of and enjoy that special CoRe you have. It's a little different from Gregg's and I will explain by phone after I am home.
