The new Nokta or Makro 7" Concentric coils

September 22, 2017 11:41AM avatar
... (for the Nokta Impact or Makro Racer/Racer 2) ... are simply some of the best coil choices most serious operators can make to add to their arsenal. thumbs up

Am I biased? Yes, I guess you could say that, but in reality I am simply pleased with the option of having the excellent performance a Concentric coil provides for so many applications.

Pinpointing is great!

Better, tighter, visual Target ID read-outs

Better depth of detection over comparable-sized DD coils

Near perfect balance and 'feel'

I keep a 7" Concentric mounted full-time on my main-use Nokta Impact, and I tend to see a 7" Concentric on the working end of Oregon Gregg's Racer/Racer 2 units most of the time lately when we're out hunting together.

Oh, and those very iron littered old sites we like to search where ferrous junk abounds? The 7" Concentric handles a greater percentage of the rusty tin quite well with far more lower-reading VDI's than we get with any of the Double-D coils we use. In Coin Hunting applications I have enjoyed being better able to audibly and visually classify bottle caps and other discarded iron type junk as well.
