Nice! ... However, it is the

very sharp condition Buffalo Nickel that excites me more. I have, and still do, found the Buffalo 5¢ piece to be one of the most attractive variety of any of the 'nickels' we have had. I used to have them in change periodically as a youngster, and found them very often when detecting from '65 into the mid-to-late '70s. Most were pretty much thinned out after that in traditions urban Coin Hunting sites.

The past three decades I have often gone for several months without finding a single Indian Head Nickel, that we more frequently call a Buffalo Nickel for that attractive critter on the reverse side. I found one earlier in March of this year, a 1936-S, at the CCC/ Japanese Internment Camp location that is now a park out in the country. That was in March, and then on my short jaunt to Ogden, Utah for our Annual TWAS Potluck & Hunt this month, I worked some remaining renovation dirt and nabbed two of them. One had a worn-off date, but finding a Buffalo is always satisfying for me.

From 1980 to the present my older dated 5¢ coins are usually a mix of about <10% Buffalo's, ±30% Shield and 60% or better will be 'V' type Nickels, so the newer Buffalo are more of a rarity than the former mintages.

Naturally I am always excited to spot a 1937 date, as your Buffalo is, and hold a lot of anticipation to turn it over to find a 'D' mint mark under a 3-Legged Buffalo. With the really nice condition of your coin I was sure hoping it fit that latter qualifications. Maybe next time.

Keep up the good finding. I look forward to meeting up again on our next WTHO in 2018, unless there is some opportunity before that, should I make a detecting trip through Nevada before the snows and real cold weather hit. I'm hoping things will be milder this fall and leading into winter than they were last year as that would let me make a get-away trip maybe in early to mid November to ????

I'd like to do some side-by-side comparisons of my Impact's and coils against your Déus and new coil. Not that it would change my mind to buy an XP, just curious if they've made any improvements in performance.

PS: With your T2 'Classic' which coil do you prefer to use most often in the trashier RR townsites?
