Nice to see you grab that 'Light Sabre' and give R2 a break in the action.

It gets pretty tough for the challengers to go up against a FORS series device. They can try to hide, but a CoRe or Relic can usually seek them out. Naturally it takes a little time and patience and effort on out part, but the end the advantage is with us and not on the 'Dark Side.'

R2 ... aka Racer 2 ... might be a little jealous of the CoRe but it's the big brother that set a standard of performance for the Racer series to follow.

As for me and my efforts, I have ample patience, and with some pain meds it helped me ease through Saturday a bit as I decided to put an old friend to-the-test in a ghost town, my good buddy the White's XLT with a 6½" Concentric coil. I have other detectors more fit for the trashy environments we confront in most ghost towns, and I haven't worked an XLT in a ghost town for about a decade. I have my 'Bushwhack' program loaded up and, as usual, it served me well.

I nabbed a '36-s and '37-s pair of Wheat-Back cents, then a damaged but hard-to-find trade token from 'The Westfall' saloon/bar and maybe 4 to 5 feet away I scuffed out a '42 Mercury Dime. It was a favorable day as I did manage four 'keepers', closed the gap on your silver coin lead by one (at least until your Barber Dime on Sunday put you back up to three ahead of me), and enjoyed the better-than-average trade token find. I am still going without an Indian Head Cent this year, sad smiley and while I like finding coins from the '30s, I am sure getting tired of Wheat-Back Cents this year.

I wanted to double check a few things with the XLT again on Sunday's run out to the townsite, but it's back in the den and hanging on the wall again. Time for my lighter-weight and more comfortable detectors to go back to work and give my neck and shoulder a break in the action. Going to have a busy day today with the Retina Specialist visit over in Idaho, but perhaps Tuesday I can find a new-to-me site and do some catching up. cool smiley

Here are front and back photos of my Trade Token thanks to Gregg and his camera.

PS: The Trade Token was close as the proprietor's initials are M.V.H. and mine are M.V.B.. Would have been more excited with matching initials.
