Disappointing permitted access, but we have to try.

It's tough to get access to a lot of older-use sites, so when we do we have to give them a try. You just never know unless you do.

A few keepers are nice, and the 70 year old bird band has a neat appeal, somewhat like a trade token as it tells part of a story. The second photo is one you shot with your camera. I'd be shooting it with something else! I hate snakes ... ALL snakes, especially those that are in the family that bite dogs in the face ... or people if they have a mind to. The 3rd photo is nice as well. I didn't know you hadn't found and Indian Head cent yet as you've found other coins to that era.

Congrats on your efforts to gain permission, and on what success you were able to have on your journey. Just 10 days from now, on the 17th, we'll ne hunting ghost towns in Nevada on our 8th WTHO. I'll see you there, and best of success to you on that adventure, too..
