A nice batch of finds!

Good to hear you made it out somewhere. What do you think of the Tek. G2+? It's an F19 in a different physical package, but I used to use the G2 and preferred the rod shape and T2 type grip.

Never used a NEL Snake coil on it, just the Teknetics 5" DD but the G2 worked OK for quite a few sites. Have you tried it on my NBPT with an Indian Head or Zinc Cent and just barely reject the four iron nails? The Omega 8000 V4 would just reject nails with a Disc. setting of 16/17, but the F19 needed a higher ±38 and that's too close to the ferrous break-point of 40 to make any fine tuning possible.

The Omega 8000 V4, Euro-Tek Pro (similar Disc. point with the F19) and F19 as well as the G2 never could pass my Nail Board test which means rejecting the four iron nails and giving at least 6-out-of-8 digable hits. They worked well enough in sparse to lower trash environments but in the dense iron contaminated sites they couldn't unmask very well. I require 6 of 8 to 'pass,' but my primary detector arsenal all provide 7 or 8 out-of 8 with a workable smaller coil.

That's why I am curious about the G2+ with the NEL Snake coil's performance with nails just barely rejected.

Best of success on your next trip afield.
