Congrats on the oldie. Difficult hunting in difficult weather.

It sure felt more inviting when we talked early in the day after I left physical therapy and I almost had the urge to join you, but by then the sun was higher and the smoke haze and a few clouds were thinning out. Just after you called to report your success of the day I went outside to hurry to my insurance agent and noted we hit our high of 103° today. That made 15 triple-digit days for our 31 day month of July. A week from now we might be enjoying highs of 10° to 15° below how we are ending July, and that gets me more excited about going detecting.

Like you, I haven't been able to add any older period coins to my binder since May 30th's Barber Dime. I'm looking forward to some more pleasant weather opportunities for us to get in a bit of hunt-time before your work picks up for the season. I believe that makes four 'V' Nickels for you from Lonesome Arch so far this year. Two during the WTHO in April, one before that and now one after.

Was that the original Racer or Racer 2, and which search coil was hard at work?

Again, Congratulations,

Monte
