Good write-up and photos of your two-day adventure.

Your better-date Barber Quarter made a nice find, Ray, and you and Paul made a good haul of coins for just two days in ghost town type sites. I used to have better days with 7-to-9 coins from some of those Northern Utah and Nevada RR ghost towns, but that hasn't happened since about '92. Most have been hard-hunted and thinned out, plus they tend to be covered with an abundant supply of nails and other ferrous debris that masks a lot of potential keepers.

Looks like you found some sites that haven't been worked too hard and might have a lesser amount of challenging iron junk. I'm curious what detectors and coils you and Paul were using? Trusted favorites or have you sprung for something new and different?

Continued success as we enjoy nice weather to close out 2018.
