Seven years ago this month I moved from Portland to Eastern Oregon and, in doing so, I thinned out all of my excess search coils. I had a box of both coil types and I had all coil sizes for a total of about 9 coils or maybe a couple more. I sold them as a 'batch of coils' for about $60 ... for the whole batch of them ... because I couldn't find a clean, pristine specimen of the 'original' Tesoro Lobo which I prefer more than the Lobo SuperTRAQ.
I still haven't come across a choice-condition Lobo, and when I had mine my favorite coil was the small Concentric elliptical. It worked terrific! I know I don't need one today and am still a bit over-loaded on detectors. It used to be I'd sell or trade one detector but acquire two. I'm over that affliction now, I
think, because it's only part with one and pick up one. I guess it's a slow cure.
Anyway, I have come across some of the older coils now and then so I'll keep a watchful eye for any of them and let you know if I find any.
