Relating experiences we have can be interesting.

Those 6" or 5.75" Concentrics are hot little coils.
I use one on my Golden and dug a war nickel about 9" with one.

For example, I have caught a mess of good-size fish using lightweight line and small spinner lures and have had some 'experienced' or 'seasoned' fishermen question how I caught such good-size fish on such light-weight tackle.

In conversations with some big game hunters who use 'extra-power' calibers and spendy scopes and rifles discuss how far a lot of their deer ran off before collapsing, and then they questions my deer hunting success where every deer, from 1967, dropped on the spot and each was taken with an iron-sighted, lever action .30-30 carbine.

My friend was learning her new-to-her White's Classic ID with the 6½" Concentric coil and attempted recovery of a target that locked-on as a 10¢ piece, but she went down a good 6" to 7" and found nothing so she presumed it was a bigger target that was deeper. When she got back to the car she asked how accurate the Classic ID TID display was and I told her quite accurate. Especially if the Pinpointing suggested a small-size target, so she went back and carefully worked her way down to the target. Yes, a 6½" coil, but the Dime she recovered was down at a 9" depth.

The Tesoro coil (that they wrongly called a 5.75) is a measured 6" diameter Concentric design, and I have recovered quite a few coins and coin-sized targets in the 7" to 9" depth range with it. In my case they are both tuned to the detector in-use, with one being Bandido II µMAX that I GB for the specific location, and the other a Silver Sabre µMAX and I preset the internal GB trimmer to handle most of the worst ground I encounter.

To a lot of people who hear or read such reports, they question it because ... to them .... it isn't normal. Just like relating catching a fish so-big, but on dinky-size gear. It happens more than some folks might imagine.

Coin size, "density" (thickness), and let's not forget CONDUCTIVITY and operating frequency.
