Re: Hey, Fish-N-ChipsI How are things going with the Anfibio Multi?

I have hit a few parks for some more clad, but nothing too old or great. I used the 7" concentric the other day along the sidewalks in the WW2 park. I got a lot of clad but no silver.

I did identify two more very thick iron patches in the park I want to go back and use the 5" DD coil in. They are in more open areas so I am hoping they have not been hit too heavily over the years, or I can unmask some targets with the small coils. It was almost too much for the 7", and I wonder what could be in there. I hardly see anyone use a smaller than stock coil around here. There are beavertail pull tabs just laying on the ground so it has some age There are a lot of bottlecaps in the spots as well but think I can get through most of them ok with the DD now that I have learned the machine more. The 7" concentric is fantastic in the bottle caps, but I think the 5" is needed to get through the iron and trash in these smaller littered areas.

My older spots are waiting, but we have had a lot of flooding and trees down with these storms. My spots involve some 4x4 driving so will have to take my recovery gear and chainsaw. I do want to compare the detectors soon but from what I have seen so far the Anfibio will outhunt the T2. It is definately a better park machine, and the 5" coil works amazing. The iron audio alone sets it apart, I really like that feature. Love not being overloaded with falsing and grunts, yet I can still hear when I am in the iron. The TID is much better at depth and the machine runs a lot more stable.

I have a few local curb strips I hope to hit soon. In a few months I have to go to the bay area for training (Fairfield/Benicia). I hope to take my Anfibio and try some of the old parks and beaches. There are a lot of detectorists down there and the spots are well hunted, but again there are few with small coils so maybe I can unmask something good? Optimism is good in our hobby :-) I found some old 1800s homesteads in the open area parks down there, public land but it seems the only thing you are allowed to do there is stay on the trails.... Definately an over-regulated area, but I will find some spot to have fun.

Todd, I think your Relic coil choice is perfect.
