Yes, I have been using the 5" DD coils ... and Yes, I have been

using iron nails in place of every-other Trade Token, but I've been busy with several other projects and some medical appointments which has delayed me a bit. I can tell you that even replacing every-other Token does not make it easy for all of these different models to handle the ferrous / non-ferrous 'test' without increasing the distance between each of the sample targets.

Making it e bigger challenge is working with different orientations of the nails between the Tokens. That causes a lot of performance difference, especially with some of the models. It is a time consuming effort to makes these tests using each detector and different Disc. settings and keeping notes on the resulting performance. It is also something I am doing simply to try and get a better idea of how well different models might work out for serious Relic Hunting needs since all of them can do just fine in average Coin Hunting applications.

Hopefully I'll have some tests done and notes compiled to make a post by the first weekend in March.
