Hey Brian how you been doing? will keep this page marked if I end up getting an MMK. I have it narrowed down to maybe an MMK or maybe ( big maybe) an XP Orx. Can't name names but the site administrator has an ORX on the way to evaluate smiling smiley So I will have good opportunity to get some hands-on time with one. So time will tell which direction I might go. I love the Nokta and Makro machines, but maybe its time to try something different ???

Maybe the ORX will be a nice complimentary machine to the CoRe and Relic ........

Hey Gregg, I'm doing good, but lately haven't been getting out detecting too much lately due to wives health issues (even had to cancel my annual Tonopah trip over Memorial Day weekend), so I have to live vicariously though you guys for a while smiling smiley

I really like my MMK. I know the Dues and ORX are popular by relic hunters, but the idea of having to charge the coil (in addition to the headphones and control box), and the fact that the batteries do go bad in the coils, has kept me away from the XP machines. I love technology (I work in tech) but when it comes to detecting, I gravitate to the KISS approach. That said, I would be very interested to see how you and said site administrator find the XP ORX to work in our favorite Nevada ghost town sites. I have a few sites with pesky alkali soil, one site is odd, has a small creek running through it and one side the ground is ok, the other side, I couldn't get my Impact to ground balance as the alkali was so heavy. The Equinox did very well at that site, which is what I figured it would take, as it's basically like hunting a salt water beach.

Hope you're doing well and getting out detecting as much as possible.
