So far, I've been reading all I can find and have but one complaint.

It's the same one Joel mentioned. and that is the loudness of the 2.4 gig Wireless headphones. For me, the wireless headphones have sort of a muffled audio and just aren't as loud as I'd like them. They are comfortable, and they fit over my head, which I prefer, but they just aren't as loud as I'd like to hear them. With most headphones I use I have found that I can hear them better, with more treble pitch and not so much of a lower bass-like pitch, if the speaker impedance is from 50 Ohms to 150 Ohms. Almost always those with speaker impedance of 32 Ohms or less just aren't as loud or have a pitch that is too low. More of a muffled type audio

Until I hold and use a Simplex + I won't know more specifics of what seems to work well or if there's anything I question, it's only the audio loudness and pitch of the accessory wireless headphones. For an "entry-level" priced new detector, the Simplex + has more adjustment functions that I would have imagined.

I like the fact they included functional features, like Iron Audio Volume and other things, yet achieved their goal of keeping the Simplex + Simple.

As for headphones, I know several people who do like the wireless headphones from Nokta / Makro, it's just that for me, I'm on the deaf side and that adds to the challenge. On the positive side, from what I have heard, the Simplex + has a loud-enough built-in speaker, and it does come standard with the ¼" headphone adapted jack so I can use any corded headphones of my choice. That's important.

Looking forward to getting the Simplex + in my hands, and I already have two detecting trips planned to use it in both a freshwater and saltwater environment, both out-of-state for both applications as well as a trip across Oregon to work the coast. It can't get here soon enough and I've already been planning on thinning out two, possibly three detectors (other brands) from my detector arsenal.
