It was a double-long day or me as I headed off to a ghost town ....
twice .. but that's another story. Along the way there are about four old, run-down houses or other structures surrounded by pasture or farm land, and in my travels I always watch for the owner to be hanging around so I can approach them about detecting. It's mainly open area around the buildings and the Simplex + w/11" DD coil would make a handy tool for a quick-hit to see if there's any potential. But, folks were either working, relaxing at home, or maybe gone fishing since I see so many out doing that lately.
I grabbed my Nokta relic today, both times, with 5" DD to take on the very iron littered environment, and with only an 11" DD, the Simplex + had to sit in the car and watch. I sure hope coils are available very soon as I'll be heading out of town/state so. My motel check-in is just 6 weeks from today for the
WTHO, and smaller coils are a must-have for those half-dozen town sites.
